Despite some major and rapid development that India’s government is doing in order to elevate the social living of the people living there, they are still not so successful. In some little ways they are but overall, with India’s population and setback, it is hard to be able to achieve progress. One common or major problem that they should strike is the quality education for slum children. Due to a very big population, not all are granted with free education in India. It is supposed to be for all but the government couldn’t accommodate everyone. So what do they do now? A lot of Mumbai NGOs are sprouting everywhere trying their best to make a difference. There are different kinds of projects and programs for the people of India and it is good to know that there are still people who help their fellow citizens. Living in our place, I feel somehow fortunate that I get to finish my studies and have my children in school. I thought of sharing the blessing to the people who badly need it.

Of the hundreds of NGOs in India, I have chosen Tarang Organization. They are formed to transform and educate the children. They are sponsoring slum children who cannot afford to go to school, inspiring them to attend school, providing them with different facilities that will aid them in completing there academic studies and make them self reliant.
